The data used in the article are psi-eta-globin pseudogenes from six primates, human, chimpanzee, gorilla, orangutan, rhesus monkey and spider monkey. The sequences were retrieved from GenBank and aligned using TreeAlign.
The sequence from humans retrieved from GenBank was too long to be used in an alignment program, so we extracted the interesting region. This region is found in the sequence HumanShort below.
The following links downloads or views the sequence files for the different primates. GenBank identifiers are given in parenthesis.
You may also get all six sequences (wihtout the long human sequence) that we used for the alignment in one file. You might want to go to GenBank or GSDB to look at the originals.
